We have an amazing group of talented runners.  Here is some background on each of us:

Chris has 3 kids and has been running/racing for 20 years.  She enjoys doing races from 5K to half marathons and is looking forward to the challenge of the Ragnar Relay.

Stacy is a mother of 3 kids and  began running longer distances after college.  She has run the Portland Marathon, Boston Marathon and Chicago Marathon.  She placed 3rd overall for women in the 2010 Prairie State Half Marathon with a time of  1:34:01.

Allie is mother of 3 kids and has been running since highschool.  She picked up running again about 10 years ago.  She has run the Chicago Marathon,  LA Marathon and Boston Marathon.  In 2009 Allie  placed 7th in her age group for the Chicago Marathon out of 1800 women with a time of 3:06:28.  In 2010 she placed second overall for women in the North Shore Half Marathon with a time of 1:29:40.  Allie enjoys running and finds that it helps to “clear her mind”.

Whitney has 3 kids and has been running since 1996.  She really loves running enjoys the thrill of competition.   She has run the Boston Marathon, Milwaukee’s Lakefront Marathon and the Chicago Marathon.  In 2010 she placed first in her age group for the Alexian Brother’s  Fit for America Half Marathon with a time of  1:40:20.

Jen has 2 kids and has been running since 1994.  She says, “Running is part of my everyday routine”.  She has run 4 marathons and now does half marathons.  She placed first overall for women in the 2010 Pathways Center 5K run with a time of 21:42.  She also enjoys playing tennis competitively on a traveling team.  She is excited about the Ragnar Relay and will begin working on her sleep deprivation training…

Karen got back into running in 2004 after the birth of her son.  She has 2 kids.  She enjoys the physical challenge of running and competitive part of racing.  She recently began running half marathons 18 months ago, enjoying the challenge of the distance.  Last year she competed in 10 races and placed first overall for women in the  2010 Wheeling Heritage Fest 5k with a time of 22:08.  Her goal was to get a team of running moms to do the Ragnar Relay.  “There are a lot of very fit running moms and I hope that we can empower more women to run”.
